HTP Episode 167 – Ronald B. Moore

Ronald B. Moore’s work as a Visual Effects Producer was a major influence on Star Trek series such as The Next Generation, Voyager, and Deep Space Nine. That doesn’t even account for his efforts in timeless movies such as Ghostbusters and The Muppet Movie! Today, Ron comes to Hungry Trilobyte to discuss how hard work can get you into film no matter what your background is, and he and I weigh the pros and cons of TNG being mastered on video rather than film.

Though his original website can be found here, Ron tends to keep his internet adventures to his Facebook account, where you’ll see him post about not only his love of Star Trek, but his fondness for pet spiders and his touring with the Enterprise Blues Band.

In this episode, Kinsey and I have a wild discussion on pairing down her Xbox 360 collection, pairing up my N64 collection, cultural shifts in retro game collecting, and the fun concept that is Cursed to Golf.

HTP Episode 164 – Pete Doree… and Stan and Jack!

Pete Doree (previously on Hungry Trilobyte in episodes #27 and #62) swings back to tell us about the final fate of the Stan & Jack series! Five issues in the series, a compilation of all five, and issue six being the ‘Giant-Size Stan-Thing’! The two of us speculate on the long-term path of the series, and also ask where the next Stan-Lee-like figure could be found.

You can still follow Pete’s Twitter Account. For more of his writing, check out The Kids From Rec. Road, a blog in which Pete is a partner and co-creator.  You can support Pete’s work on Ko-Fi.
