HTP Episode 147 – Jim the Podcast Sherpa

Jim the Podcast Sherpa is your guide to the many, many podcasts of the internet.  As the host of the podcast ‘Too Many Podcasts!’ Jim likes to dig up deep cuts and show a new listener why they’d want to try a certain podcast.  Often, he does this by looking deep into why the host does their show, and why they do it a certain why.  Appropriately, Jim and I spend a lot of this episode discussing why our shows take the form they do, which is some great inside chat for a new podcaster.

I previously appeared on Jim’s show in August of 2022, and would be happy to return any time.

This episode also features commentary on my plan for social media now that Elon Musk owns Twitter.

Jim hosts Too Many Podcasts and The Sherpa Screening Room on nearly any podcast platform you can think of, and tracks everything on his website, The Sherpalution.

HTP Episode 146 – Cinema Snob Brad Jones

Image sourced from The Cinema Snob Wiki and is believed to be in the Public Domain.

Brad Jones, known widely as his character the Cinema Snob on the web series of the same name, has been entertaining fans since 2010. The show began on Channel Awesome before eventually finding its way to YouTube.

In this episode of Hungry Trilobyte, Brad and I talk MST3K: The Movie and the meta-ness about creating a commentary program for a commentary program. There’s also a lot of discussion about what challenges an online creator will face years into their big project.

By the way… does anyone remember the educational film I mentioned, The Magic House?

You can follow Brad on his official website. He maintains a Twitter feed, Facebook, and Patreon as well. Watch for his next project, 1960 in Film, on Channel Awesome.
