HTP Episode 148 – Screaming Chuy Returns… With Arlyn Adriana!

Screaming Chuy (first appearing on Hungry Trilobyte in Episode 76) returns with his friend and musical colleague, Arlyn Adriana.  The three of us discuss what it’s like to get your start as a creator, as well as looking at the similarities and differences between her goals (being a singer) with that of a writer or podcaster.  We also throw out some ideas about horror movies and tequila.

Arlyn previously appeared on an episode of Screaming Chuy’s show.  You can follow her on YouTube .

HTP Episode 108 – Michael Lloyd

Michael Lloyd is a fresh actor who loves podcasting and has a lot of great views on fandom. He schools me on why he loves horror (and I’m a horror dummy) and we get to compare it to Star Wars and Marvel fandoms. On a more critical note, we get to compare how different fandoms respond to an excess of sequels and reboots.

Marc Morales is an independent film maker, a horror fan, and an all-around movie fanatic. In this episode, he and I discuss his movie 521 North Main Street, about to go into production. We also get the chance to talk about horror fandom (an insider perspective for him and an outsider perspective for me). There’s also a really fun side-chat about how film fanatics were able to research movies in the VHS era, compared to the DVD and streaming eras.

You can track Marc’s progress on the website of his production company, High Fivin’ Ants.  His web series It’s Crazy Out There has its own Facebook page, where he frequents.

Jackey Raye Neyman Jones portrayed Debbie, the young girl in Manos: The Hands of Fate, a film known to history as one of the worst movies ever made and a cornerstone of Mystery Science Theater 3000 lore. In recent years, Jackey has done an amazing job telling the story of the movie’s bizarre production with her book, Growing Up with Manos, as well as describing the challenges in her personal life through her art and blogs. In May of 2019, she announced her new web series, Manos: The Debbie Chronicles.
