HTP Episode 111 – Jason Pollock

Jason Pollock, host of the It’s Me Jason podcast, gets together with me to swap stories of how fandom has built its own cultures. He has some great insights into stand-up, and even rolled one of his bits into a coloring book titled “The Fly That Refused to Die“. When we hit talk of MST3K, I recount to him the story of how Jackey Raye Neyman Jones rediscovered Manos (as she tells in her book) and I challenge Jason to watch Manos Returns, directed by Tonjia Atomic.

Be sure to follow Jason on his Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tiktok accounts!

Zoe Plait is one of MST3K’s biggest “Professional Fans.” She worked with Trace Beaulieu and Frank Conniff on “The Mads are Back” live show, and in this episode of Hungry Trilobyte, she and I sit down and get to the heart of what makes the show great. More than that, we address how fandom can have a positive effect on mental illness, and ponder her future writing projects. During the episode, we also bring up the MST3K Playstation Underground issue.
